To start with a technical story, what we do at MyLifeKit is developing an traditional model made with new technology.

The old way of attacking data problems is to create a set of rules and behaviours for this dataset and based on these rules there is an outcome – this is specially the case with Credit Score – if this is not paid then this will deduct –

We need a few of these rules to create a Footprint of the User as a starting point –

Did you know that corporate research has shown documents that firms being named after their owners have a superior performance and have a lower credit risk. This so-called eponymous effect is mainly driven via a reputation channel (Belenzon, Chatterji, and Daley, 2017). We at MLK find it reasonable to extend this finding to the choice of email addresses. A testable prediction from this prior literature is that eponymous customers – those who include their first and/or last names in their email address – are less likely to default.

These are just interesting footprint things we are working on. We combine XGBoost and SVM and have found the best results comparing with such a popular machine learning models used in credit scoring as Decision tree and Logistic Regression. Applying this as pre-processing dataset to avoid imbalance), new optimizing methods in feature selection helped to achieve such a good result.

Last week we put a few layers over each other and were able to show data why we believe there is more development of a certain decease in a block of 200 by 200sqm than in another. Which is valuable for the government.

Hopefully in a few weeks we can show the data of what we established and the three clients we are working with.

Personally, I feel I am writing my own algorithm also, some parts are new some parts are old, some parts are rules some things are Machine learning. My son is almost graduated. And it is my das birthday. Life is never dull let’s say that.

Not completely recovered I will relax another 24 hours..

The coming days will be based on sorting a few overdue things before another 5 weeks of continues travelling.
