I am writing my goals and clients blog as we speak but yesterday I was painfully pointed out that that might not be something I am ready to write about..
I am but I need a few days.. In the mean time I wanted to share a system that worked for me lately.. to change..
How to establish lasting new habits - The Two-Day Rule
The 30-for-30 Approach is my go-to method for moving things forward.
• 30 minutes daily • 30 nonstop days, its tough but the only move..
I understand that that's a utopian perspective, though, and because "life happens" on a daily basis, it might not be feasible.
The Two-Day Rule is an acceptable substitute:
The Two-Day Rule was introduced YouTuber Matt D'Avella.
Beautifully straightforward direct and ideally and more sustainable.
Never permit yourself to skip more than one day in a row with whatever habit you're trying to develop.
Science supports this. Using research from the European Journal of Social Psychology as an example:
"Missing one opportunity to engage in the behavior did not significantly alter the process of forming habits."
Your ability to form habits won't be harmed by missing one day.
As long as you don't skip the following day, skipping one day won't harm your efforts to form new habits.
I adore this tactic since it promotes advancement while allowing for life's unforeseen circumstances.
Try the Two-Day Rule in 2023 if the 30-for-30 Approach proved to be too difficult.
